News from the future

I don't know why no one is invoking 1984 when discussing Amazon's movie service licensing terms. There are so many similarities. You don't get to know the rules. The rules may change at any time. You won't be told when the rules change, and you have no rights of any kind whenever that happens. If you don't like it you can't get your money back you just wasted it. Oh and they even install unremovable surveillanceware on your computer. This is not just part of the nightmare, but the whole deal realized - and all to sell movies. What an embarrasment for Amazon. Makes me want to read the terms of my book buying again.
