Every input at the top is a switch. Truth falls from the switches you turn on, down through the gates. Your job: find a setting of the switches that gets truth all the way to the basin at the bottom. If a setting exists, the expression is satisfiable. Sometimes none exists, no matter what you try — and spotting that is the other way to win.
